VISA: In addition to a Passport, a VISA is required to enter the country. It is fairly simple to obtain a VISA to visit the country and depending on where your Passport was issued from you may be eligible for Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) VISA. Please visit one of the following websites to find out more about obtaining a VISA:
Getting to Cairns: The airport closest to the Hilton Cairns is the Cairns airport and Quantas has direct flights throughout the day from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Check with the airline you will be traveling on to see if they fly to Cairns or if you need to arrive in Sydney and travel by a local airline. Another airline is Virgin Australia that flies within Australia.
Getting from the airport to the Hilton you can use Airport Connections (www.tnqshuttle.com). They will meet both international and domestic flights and the cost is about AU$17.00 and reservations are essential. Another company is Sun Palm Australia Coach (www.sunpalmtransport.com.au) and they will also travel to the Hilton and they cost about AU$15.00. Taxis are also an option but it will cost significantly more to take one.
