52nd IVAS Annual CongressWe are excited to announce that the 52nd Annual IVAS Congress will be held September 16-19, 2026, in Reykjavik, Iceland at the Harpa Center. Save the date and plan to attend the IVAS Congress in an unforgettable location known as the land of Fire and Ice! Iceland has a unique landscape with unmatched rugged beauty, volcanos, glaciers, waterfalls, geothermic hot springs, geysers, and so much more, making it a nature lovers’ paradise. So why the nickname fire and ice? Iceland sits in the middle of two tectonic plates: North American and Eurasian, simply put, Iceland is slowly being ripped apart by the forces of nature. With two major tectonic plates under Iceland’s feet, volcanism is the “fire” part of the nickname, with 30 active volcanic systems, and the “ice” part is from the 269 glaciers.
