Dear Future Member:
Welcome to IVAS! IVAS has a proud history of playing a key role in advancing excellence in veterinary acupuncture education and research, and we have our dedicated members to thank for this. IVAS is a membership organization that relies on our limited staff and member volunteers to obtain our goals and objectives.
Over the past several years we have made many changes in order to provide our members with enhanced, quality member benefits and are continuing to make additional changes and add new programs. We have redesigned our newsletter to a new publication known as “The Point.” This publication not only provides members with quarterly news within the organization, but we are also publishing papers. We have upgraded our membership database system and are continually upgrading our website in order to provide members with better, comprehensive information that our members request and need. Of particular importance is the establishment of the IVAS Endowment Program, including the Pet Memorial Progarm. After 33 years of providing education to Veterinarians in the field of Veterinary Acupuncture, IVAS has achieved a new level of not-for-profit success with the establishment of this program. It is our goal to be a leader of excellence within the international veterinary community to further the traditional and scientific approaches to veterinary acupuncture.
Many of our members have been working together for only a short time, but during that time many of us have developed strong ties, not only professional, but one of friendship. We enjoy learning together in seminars or at our annual congress, and we also correspond and exchange information derived from our own clinical experiences. We look forward to sharing our knowledge of veterinary acupuncture with you, and to benefiting in turn from the enthusiasm and skills you will undoubtedly bring to our organization.
On behalf of all our members, I extend a sincere welcome to you, and hope to meet you in person soon at one of our functions.
Sincerely,
Vikki Weber,
Executive Director
